Subsequent to the huge success in advertising industry for brands companies in Paris, France, Fred & Farid took the decision to set up its Asia head quarter in Shanghai, the Far East Mordor, for their growing international business.
LINEWORKS took up the project from F&F, to revamp an old warehouse at 200 Huangpu Rd, North Bund, into their headquarter office. After many rounds of in depth discussions, the project team set about to create an open office space that would reflect the F&F image and style – free of boundary, powerful, passionate and original.
Our design team overturned the warehouse to its very core construction, tore away the out dated excessive decoration, and exposed its crude formation. After structural reinforcement, we directly used the self-leveling concrete for flooring, white oak wood board in its original color for decoration materials, applied in simplistic black-white-gray 3-color arrangement. With a curtain wall along the river side, it has brought the shabby and gloomy storage place alive, turned into a bright and open office centre, full of originality and innovative energy.
